Take the First Step Toward Excellence
2025-2026 SEASON TRYOUTS
Want to push your volleyball skills further?
Showcase your talent at our 2025–26 Fall Tryouts! You do not need to attend all three rounds to be considered for a team — players are welcome to attend the Fall Tryouts even if they did not participate in earlier rounds.
Our Fall Tryouts are divided into two sessions:
- National & Regional Tryouts
- Winter Select Tryouts
Why attend Fall Tryouts?
-
Open to all: Whether or not you attended earlier rounds, you can still try out for any level.
-
Multiple opportunities: Final spots for all teams — National, Regional, and Select — will be determined here.
-
Fair evaluation: Every player gets a full and fair assessment during the Fall Tryouts.
Please note that you do not need to have attended Rounds I or II to be considered for a team at HVVC. Players are welcome to join Round III even if they have not tried out before.

Playing Time Philosophy
Equal playing time is not guaranteed, but HVVC aims for fair participation based on team goals. All players are expected to play during pool play unless they miss practice or face disciplinary issues.
Team Expectations
National Teams (Blue & White)
Highest level teams with top coaches and out-of-state travel. Players must make HVVC their priority sport. All athletes may play during pool play; bracket play time is based on skill and team needs.
Goal: Maximize development and compete at the highest level.
Regional Teams (Black & Grey)
High-level play with less travel—ideal for multi-sport athletes. Efforts made for fair pool play time; playoff play is coach’s decision.
Goal: Develop skills and strive for competitive results.
Select Teams (Silver | Copper & Purple | Green)
Shorter seasons (winter/spring) for players needing a flexible schedule. Follows Regional team policies with a reduced commitment.
Goal: Develop skills with less travel/time commitment.
Home League (10U, 12U, 14U)
Beginner to intermediate level with all events at HVVC. Emphasis on learning and participation. Playing time is equitable, with some variation by position.
Goal: Maximize participation and learning.
